This is the Kuhne family! My husband went to high school with both Brad and Kristen so our family has a long history of life overlapping. Kristen and I had mutual friends and we were both involved in Junior League of Richardson but REALLY got to know each other in playgroup with our oldest boys! haha!
Kristen was running for a second term on the RISD school board, which she WON by the way, and needed an updated family photo. As you can see by the various shots they are a close family that likes to have fun! We got to re-create a favorite photo of the two boys from when they were toddlers and I think its a sore subject that the youngest son is also the tallest of the three men! Love this family and they were a joy to spend the afternoon with!
Burke!! What a great sport! He showed incredible patience while we drove around Downtown Dallas for three hours on a Sunday afternoon in December. Except that wasn't all, because of a photography blunder I made, he had to get dressed up again last Sunday afternoon so I could retake some of the photos! Never once did he complain!! Thank you Burke and Mary for being so understanding and finding a time to retake what I thought were the best photos! With every session you live and learn and I'm so thankful for understanding people that are willing we just go back and re-take them! Burke is still deciding between two schools and you can see at the end which one he sort of thinks it will be! Congratulations Burke! Enjoy the rest of your senior year! I promise you wont have to take any more photos in Victory Park! =)
This is MACEY!! You don't get more personable or enjoyable a senior than Macey! She is up for anything and always has a smile on her face. In fact some of the best pictures of her are because she was trying to be serious but would erupt into laughter because she just couldn't do it! =) I have lots of connections to Macey's family! Many friendships through the years with her grandparents, parents and siblings! Its always especially fun to take senior photos of someone you know so much about. Macey is going into nursing at the University of Arkansas and I would say its a perfect fit!!
Macey's sortof last picture. She has been a cheerleader at TCA the past five years and it seemed fitting she should take a jumping picture as part of her session! Jumping in the fountain was a bonus!! =)
Great session with Gayden on this Sunday in October. He was super easy to talk to and had such a great attitude and casualness about him that made the session go by fast! We started off near the Blue Cross Blue Shield building in Richardson. There is a creek, Spring Creek, that runs behind it and was the perfect setting for Gayden to show his personality. After all, that IS what I aim for, to show WHO the senior is! If they're "smiley" show it, if they're more serious, capture that! As a mom of three, that is what I would want a photographer to capture in their photos of my kids so I do just that! After the creek photos we headed onto the property of Blue Cross Blue Shield........ but that was sort of short lived! =) Lastly, I went with Gayden and his mom to this little place off Addison Rd. .that I pass by a dozen times a week! Its an old run-down building by a car wash sitting in front of some train tracks and a horse trailer. It was perfect and I was glad Gayden was easy going enough to join me in venturing to a new location. Gayden has his choice of schools to go to, can't wait to see which one he picks! And THANKS for the GREAT LAST SHOT!!! Its one of my favorites!!
Alexis was a dream to work with! I was fortunate enough to coach Alexis for several months her junior year on Varsity Cheer. So it was easy to find things to talk about! =) She was so natural in front of the camera and I loved her classy timeless style! We were fortunate enough to find three different yards in Northwood Hills and one even with a swing! Then we headed over to Arbor Hills where we made our way through several fields finding gorgeous light! I loved her willingness to twirl or jump or skip or anything else silly I asked her to do. I wanted that genuine smile, and I GOT IT! =) Can't wait to see where Alexis decides to go to school and I would LOVE if she decided to try out for cheer too!!
More Friendship Friday with the Junior girls from TCA Varsity Cheerleading. I LOVED the combination of navy and white and then with the tiled background it tied it all together. Will definitely be using this combo again down the road. Wishing you all the best at your first Upper School Pep Rally this afternoon! Great memories! Have a great year and hope to photograph you as a group again next summer before your senior year!
Its not a good session with me unless there are some fun and entertaining candid's.
These were some of my favorites and why I loved this session.
Friendship Friday at its best! Group session in August 2016 for the football program, but this time with the sophomore girls on Varsity Cheer. What a sweet, genuine group of friends they are. Loved the pink and the sunflowers made it PERFECT! Wishing you all a great time at your first Pep Rally today and then tonight at the Varsity Home Game! Go Trojans!
August 2016 -
I was thrilled to be asked to photograph the Seniors from TCA Varsity Cheer this summer. The pictures would be used in the TCA Sports program passed out at the home football games this fall. This session was especially fun for me because I got to see many of the girls I use to coach at TCA!! It was BEYOND hot on this day in August, but that didn't ruin the fun.
My favorite part was that they didn't even hesitate when I asked them to wade through the waters and look how great those turned out!!=)
Wishing you all a great year, Seniors 2017! Go Trojans!
Every good session MUST include some fun!
As you can see we did just that!
