Its a big day! Wendi Kesler Photography has successfully completed ONE WHOLE YEAR!! To celebrate I decided it would be fitting to show my 50, or 54 favorite photographs. =) I would LOVE for you to READ all of this, I promise it will let you get to know me better and know where my heart is in my business!
First, so many thank yous!! To David, for supporting me and handling things at home when I'm on a photo shoot. Also for showing an interest and being proud of my work. To Brandon, for telling me "I COULD". I'm my worst critic, but you and Maddi both said I could do this! To Ben, THANK YOU for still being little, at least in age, and for still being at home. I love having these years with you while Brandon and Courtney have gone to college. Thank you for asking me to bring my camera to games and for being the first to look at photos from an event on Dropbox. I love that you do that. To Courtney........ where do I start? You have probably helped me the most. Not only by believing I could do this, but for the HOURS of letting me practice with you as my model and then in later years as we would go location scouting. Also, thank you for evaluating my photography. Your creativity I lean on! I just know you can be a nurse and a photographer!!
Finally, to the people that have hired me! THANK YOU! With each session you taught me something, what works what doesn't work, what poses are cool and what to never do again! =)
Back to my top 50! Its these people, these emotions, these places that inspired me to switch one year ago to professional. What makes these particular pictures my favorite? Many of them spark a memory of that emotion at that moment in time. Others remind me of family photo shoots I set up to get more practice. Other photos, its about the composition or the architecture or landscape or sometimes it was about learning how to pose a group or what a "blurred background or bokeh" meant.
I encourage you, photographer or not, TAKE pictures! Take them of everything and anything, not just the miile stones, but capture "life" as it is at that moment. Its so easy to snap it with your phone, so I encourage you to do so. I promise you'll thank me! Scan through the photos as much as you like. These are the ones that led me to where I am and in a few years I look forward to posting my Top 50 of Wendi Kesler Photography Official!
